Winging It

I decided to make another capelet/shoulder shrug/cowl-thingie, but I’m just making it up as I go along.

Cabled Capelet

I decided to do cables horizontally, and knit until it’s the right size to go around my body and arms comfortably. Then I’ll graft the ends together and pick up along one edge and knit upwards towards the neck. I’m not sure yet what I’ll do for that. Ribbing, probably. I’ll worry about it when I get there.

And to get rid of make use of some of the yarn in my stash, I’m going to make a large scarf out of a couple of skeins of Alpaca Cloud. I’m just knitting it in stockinette on big needles, so it will be a mindless project for whenever I need something to knit that doesn’t take any concentration (other than keeping the yarn from slipping off the needles).

Gigantic Scarf of Boredom

I’m sure this one will be long in the making. But it will be a good break from the patterns I’m planning to start next year.
