We recently scored this as a gift from a relative who isn’t into whiskey:
Crown Royal Special Reserve. Oy. Darn good stuff. Their loss is our gain.
And if you’re looking for a nice light white wine for the holidays, we really enjoyed the bottle of Sincerely Sauvignon Blanc 2008 we had sitting in the fridge. So much so, that we went back to the wine store right after dinner tonight and bought a bunch more. What a great value! It’s a bit pricier here in Utah, at $11.99, but it’s still more than worth it.
And for you local whiskey drinkers? High West has come out with limited editions of a 16-year-old 80% rye whiskey and a 21-year-old 53% rye whiskey. Get ‘em before they’re gone.

Noted. Thanks. =) I love your alcoholic drink posts. They are very educational, since I have almost no clue what you are talking about. I guess that is how my non-knitting friends and family feel when they read some of my blog posts. My one friend says she feels like she is reading another language.
I’m a tequila girl myself. Jose Cuervo, you are a friend of mine…
Thanks for the PSA!
Did I hear the sound of Margene and Smith rushing to the booze store?
You need whiskey on hand when you get snow! That doesn’t explain why WE need whiskey on hand, but nevermind…
Lucky girl!
