Of Markers and Men

I heard about TwiceShearedSheep from a recent Here’s To Ewe podcast.

I immediately had to run out.. uh, I mean run to my computer and buy some of these removable stitch markers, which are much classier than the Clover locking stitch markers I usually use:

And this row counter, which should work much better than the ones I was making out of yarn:

I thought this would be nice since it has the numbers, although it could end up being a drawback since it’s so long. I guess I’ll find out when I use it.

Anyway, the markers are all well-made and very reasonably priced – I’m sure I’ll be ordering from this store again.

Now, on to the men.

I just came across a few free Lion Brand patterns for men’s sweaters. Considering how few good patterns there are for men’s sweaters, I thought I’d pass them along. Click “download” above the photo to get the PDF.

Northshore Cardigan – A longsleeved cabled cardigan, worsted weight (pattern calls for Wool-Ease). This is a new pattern, it’s not in Ravelry yet.

Saturday Morning Hoodie – A simple raglan cardigan with hood and pockets, made from bulky yarn (Lion Brand Chunky). On Ravelry.

Alpine Zip-Neck Pullover – As it says, a pullover with a zip neck. It has drop-shoulders, with some interesting colorwork at the top of the sleeves. On Ravelry.

I have some similar row markers, sans the bead. LOVE THEM.

Love the stitch markers and row counters. They’re definitely classy!
