Flashing with International Flair

No, not that kind of flashing. ;-)

Sadly, I have reached that time of life when the hot flashes have begun. Sigh.

But at least it gives me the opportunity to use a couple of delightful gifts I’ve gotten in the past. The fan on the left is one that my father brought back for me from Japan. (I think. It was a long time ago, and he went to several Asian countries over the years.) The one on the right was a gift from an ex-coworker from Spain, who brought it to me after making a holiday trip back home. She’s gone back to Spain now, and I miss her. It’s nice to have this as a remembrance.

Fans

I keep them handy all the time now.

I think I need to find a cheap one around town somewhere that I can throw in my purse.

They are both beautiful. It might be a good idea for me to carry one, too!

    They are lovely.

Maybe find a couple/few cheapies. Just in case you lose it. Sort of like sunglasses. ;^)

I’ll keep that in mind for when the time comes!

That kind of flashing makes knitting w/wool slightly more problematic.

    Those are some beautiful fans!

I’ve been told that I need to get a chillow, and I think I’ll try to find one this weekend. A fan would be helpful too!

You will definitely be the most stylish flasher around!

I’ve been told to look for red clover supplements for this problem… have you tried any herbal remedies?

I had a total hysterectomy last year at 36 years old, and the hot flashes started almost immediately. The doctor prescribed Enjuvia. Go get yourself some hormomes girl! :-)

What beautiful fans! I remember when I was a kid my Dad went to Japan (with the Navy) and brought one of those lovely fans home for me. Sadly, I was too young to think to save it.

  10. Rats! At least you’re flashing in style.
