Knitting Progress

I finished the back of Beau, and realized I made a slight mistake. I only made the ribbing half the size it was supposed to be. Heh. I think it will look OK, though. DH said he thought the ribbing seemed smaller than “typical”, but didn’t want to say anything. But he thinks it will be fine.

It’s hard to see the details of a dark sweater, especially when taking the photo in a dark room on a dark day. Sigh. Had to turn on the heat last night.

But at least that photo’s better than the next one.

I started another Ingenue in black. Since I might be a little short of yarn, I’m starting at the neckline below the collar and knitting the entire sweater, then I’ll pick up the stitches and knit as much of a collar or neckline as I can. So it may or may not have the same collar as in the pattern. I cast on the same number of stitches at the neck, but allocated more stitches to the front and back, and fewer to the sleeves. To calculate how many to assign for the sleeves, I figured out how many stitches I wanted for the sleeves after the body and sleeves are divided, then subtracted the number of stitches I’d be increasing between the neck and armhole if I did the same number of increase rounds as on the last sweater.
