I appreciate everyone’s comments and suggestions on the Drops jacket.
I really gave it a lot of thought and have decided to keep the 3/4 length sleeves.  Full-length ones would be the “safer” and more “practical” choice, but I have a tendency towards always doing the practical thing, and maybe it’s time to do something different. [...]

Almost done

I survived the Magic Loop sleeves, and, while I’d still prefer to use DPNs, I got comfortable enough with the technique that I’d certainly use it again whenever I didn’t have the right DPNs.
But now for the questions…

Loopy

I decided to do the Magic Loop thing for the sleeves.

I picked up stitches around the armhole and shaped the sleeve cap with short rows. I think it’s going to work out fine, although that darn cable keeps flopping up into the way while I’m knitting.

I haven’t had much knitting time in the past few days, but at least I’ve made some progress on the Drops 103-1 jacket.

Progress Report

I’ve made good progress on my Drops 103-1 Jacket – most of the body is done, and I washed it and put it out to dry to check the length and gauge.

Notice that it’s wall-to-wall on my blocking board.
Yes, it’s very A-line.
Hopefully not too much.
I don’t really want to look like a tent.
