Garden Watch

Published March 25, 2008 by cheryl

Since it’s a beautiful day today, and rain and/or snow are likely for the next couple of days, I thought I’d see if the garden was ready for me to plant some peas and spinach in the raised beds.

Look what I found:
Carrots

Daffodils

There was some Swiss Chard coming up too, but I “spade pruned” those. DH doesn’t care for chard, and I couldn’t use it fast enough for just myself. So even though it was pretty with the rainbow stems, there won’t be any chard this year.

As for the garden beds? Spinach and peas have been planted.

Gotta go eat some carrots now.

Mmm. Fresh carrots! I’ve started to put things in too. I’m thinking of getting one of those aero gardens for lettuce since it gets a bit hot out here.
