A Post with Actual Knitting Content

Published August 25, 2007 by cheryl

I know there hasn’t been a lot of knitting content, but that’s because I haven’t had much knitting time other than at SnB, and I really don’t have much new to show.

Shore Set Hoodie The Shore Set Hoodie is moving along, though. The front and back are done, and I’m working on the hood. I held off starting the sleeves because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to put the cables on them, or if I did, to make them a bit smaller. They seem to add a lot of bulk. After consulting with Margene and Mim Tuesday night, we all agreed that it would be better to just make plain sleeves.

My VLT curved shawl is at row 131 out of 168. That sounds more impressive than it is, since the rows are getting longer and longer, so there’s still a lot left. I hope to get a lot done on it in the next week, though, while I’m on vacation. (And since I’m planning to wear it at the end of September, I’d better get moving!)

Those are big cables - I agree with the plain sleeves decision! Are you going somewhere on vacation? Because I’m still shocked at how little knitting I got done on vacation!

Good call on the sleeves. Isn’t it great to have such wonderful resources as Margene & Mim close at hand??
