Vegan Knitting

Published August 11, 2006 by CabledSheep

My DH said I should combine my hobbies of gardening and knitting by knitting something out of my spaghetti squash. I guess that’s one way to use them up faster!

So here’s my newest project.

Hi! Dropping by to answer your question about Vivaldi vs Kidsilk Haze. They are similar to look at, but I have a feeling that Vivaldi might be sligthly heavier than KSH. According to yarndex (www.yarndex.com) Vivaldi has 305 yards pr 50 g and KSH 229 g pr 25 g. Gauge is given as 20 and 22.If you can get gauge with KSH, and I think you could, I see no reason not to use it. It’s certainly a much nicer yarn than Vivaldi. I’m surprised to hear that you can’t get Vivaldi in the US. There is an ad for Garnstudio in every issue of Interweave Knits so I just assumed that it was available there.
