Trick Pony Socks

These socks were designed as an
exercise in learning how not to be a “one trick pony”. I
used a few techniques that I hadn’t tried before, and the
name is also a play on the lace pattern – “Horseshoe Print”,
from "The Ultimate Sourcebook of Knitting and Crochet
Stitches".
Size: Woman’s Medium The pattern directions are written for a leg length of 7”, a foot length of 9 ½”, and a heel flap of 2 ¼”, but the leg and foot length can be modified. The sock is knitted top down on DPNs, with a heel flap and star toe. Lace pattern is given in both chart and text form. Click the "download" button to download the pattern in PDF format.
